Timneh African Grey Parrots

Timneh African Grey Parrots have a character that many experienced parrot owners quickly learn to appreciate. They are intelligent, observant, and highly social birds that need more than a cage and regular feeding—they need daily interaction, mental stimulation, and a committed home. As a breeder and parrot enthusiast, I always encourage potential owners to learn about the individual bird before making the decision to bring one home.

A Smaller African Grey With a Big Personality

Timneh African Greys are generally smaller than Congo African Greys and are recognized for their distinctive appearance and expressive personalities. Every parrot develops differently, which is why I believe prospective owners should look beyond colour or appearance and consider temperament, confidence, and the bird’s interaction with people.

Choosing a Bird for a Long-Term Home

At Mr Parrot, we understand that bringing home an African Grey is a serious commitment. A suitable home should provide proper nutrition, safe housing, toys and enrichment, regular social interaction, and ongoing attention to the bird’s wellbeing. We encourage buyers to ask questions and take the time to understand the responsibilities involved before choosing their new companion.
